Left: optical median section, focal plane on the slightly notched upper lip which seems to have a separating membrane in the middle (both traits are different from the descriptions of GOSSE (1851) and DONNER (1956)). Corona width ≥ head width.
Right: optical median section, focal plane (more ventral) on a membrane in the sulcus (marked by 2 arrowheads) which is not mentioned for H. bidens by GOSSE (1851) and DONNER (1956). The two arrows mark the anterior margin of the upper lip. (1) |
